2012 Board announced at AGM

More than 40 members and guests gathered to hear TiE Sydney’s achievements in 2011 and welcome the 2012 Board at TiE Annual General Meeting (AGM) on December 7, 2011 at the Sydney Hilton.

AGM and Board Elections

Minutes from the 2010 AGM were presented, accepted, seconded and motion carried. Treasurer Manishi Dave presented the current financials for the period till June 30, 2011, which were accepted, seconded and motion carried. Dilip Rao presented the President’s Report. (attached)

Returning Officer Manishi Dave tabled the nine Nominations for the nine positions on the 2012 Board. The nominees were unanimously elected to the Board by a show of hands. 

Board members spoke about their role, responsibilities and goals  on the TiE Board in 2012. The 2012 Board members and their roles are:

1. President: Dilip Rao
2. Executive Director: Janak Mistry
3. Treasurer: Rod Grosvenor
4. Director - Mentoring: Mike Giles
5. Director - Education: Satheesh Nair
6. Director - Networking: Manishi Dave
7. Director - Communication/Women SIG: Angelica Jacob
8. Director - Partnerships: Mathias Kopp
9. Director - TiECON – Selwyn D’Souza
